Here’s some information that I hope will help when travelling with your cake……



 1.The BEST area to place your cake is on the floor of the passenger side, It will be nice and secure in there and have no room to move, but please be sure to keep the heater off!


2.Clear a space in your boot and set the cake on a towel or mat to stop it slipping…..OR place some heavy objects around the base of the box. Make sure there are no loose objects in the boot that can fall against it during transport!


3.DO NOT travel with it on someone’s knee.


4.DO NOT Put it on one of the seats (unless you have a folded up towel or something to level the surface out)

Thank you for choosing us to make/quote your cake. You can rest assured that our cakes are made with the highest quality ingredients using lots of care, and attention to detail to make your cake a truly personal work of art!

Booking and Deposits

On enquiry please provide me with the date that you need your cake, any theme you have in mind (feel free to send through any pictures) and roughly how many you want to feed. I have a list of set flavours and price will vary depending on the level of work undertaken, though I will always try to work within your budget.
Should you wish to go ahead and book, a deposit is required to secure your booking in my diary. Anything from £15 for celebration cakes, the outstanding balance is then payable upon or before collection as agreed with Baker Lou, the deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving these terms and conditions or the date will be offered to the next customer. Flexible payment plans are available on request. Deposits are payable via PayPal* to bakerloubasingstoke@gmail.com, by bank transfer (please request bank details if this is your chosen method) or by cash. Confirmation will be provided on receipt of deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-negotiable, and once paid, means you are entering into a contract with Baker Lou and confirm you fully and irrevocably agree to the terms and conditions of Baker Lou.

*6% will need to be added to cover PayPal fees.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS/ALLERGIES

I am happy to offer suggestions on cakes that are ‘free from’.

Eggs, nuts and wheat are all common requests. Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with these allergens, it will be prepared in a kitchen where these ingredients.

CHANGE OF DATES

If for any reason you need to change the date your cake is required please notify me asap, I will do my best to accommodate the change but unfortunately due to other bookings this may not always be possible. At the discretion of Baker Lou your deposit may be transferred to another booking/date/cake within a specified time frame.

COLLECTION

Your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time. Please strictly adhere to these times or let me know as soon as possible if there are any problems. Cakes that are collected by the customer are always boxed for transportation and inner structures are used within the cake to make it sturdy and will provide advice on the care and handling of your cake. Once the cake is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with the client and Baker Lou will not be held responsible for any damage to the cake after it has been collected. However, my support is always available and I can advise if any damage is fixable.

CAKE DELIVERY

The same applies for cakes that are delivered i.e. Wedding Cakes. I will provide the venue with information on the flavours of each tier, the ingredients and a cutting guide but once I have set up at the venue and left I cannot take any responsibility for damage to the cake, this then lies in the hands of the venue. I am however always available for any advice as before. A form will be signed to say that the cake has been received and set up as required and pictures will be taken for you.

*Please note that a fee is charged for the delivery and setup of cakes.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Deposits are non-refundable

If you cancel your order for any reason before the requested date, all other monies paid except the deposit will be refunded by PayPal/bank transfer/cash. If your order is cancelled less than two weeks from the requested date, you will receive no refund of monies paid over and including the deposit.
If any details regarding your cake still need confirmed I will make contact to do so, if there is no reply or contact made by you within 24 hours of receiving the request for confirmation your order will be deemed as cancelled and no monies will be refunded.
